APPLICATIONS

Most of the iron oxide pigments are also used in building materials. It is mainly applied to colouring various building structures and concrete products as follows:

1、Colour concrete products series:

Such as coloured concrete tiles, coloured concrete floor bricks (pavement bricks, permeable bricks, grass bricks, retaining bricks, etc.), coloured concrete blocks (split blocks, wall blocks, cultural stones, etc.)

4、Colour dry mortar series:

For example, coloured hardener for pressure flooring and wear-resistant flooring, coloured caulking agent, coloured spraying mortar, coloured self-levelling cement, etc.

Such as artificial marble, artificial granite, artificial sandstone, terrazzo and so on.

6.Colour paste series:

Water-based colourants for concrete or architectural coatings, oil-based colourants for epoxy floor or polyurethane floor coatings

7. Others: decolourising powder, coloured sand.

Iron oxide pigment is used as colouring agent in construction materials due to its good weather resistance, alkali resistance and light resistance (these properties are not possessed by other inorganic pigments or organic pigments), the dosage in concrete products is limited to less than 10%. (The dosage of natural products can exceed some.) More than the high limit will reduce the mechanical strength of the products and affect the solidification time, generally 4-8% is suitable. At the same time, iron oxide pigment does not contain cobalt and zinc oxide, so it will not affect the solidification time and solidification strength.
